About Canterbury Episcopal Center
As a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Virginia, our mission is to create a safe and welcoming space where everyone is invited to explore their faith, ask questions, and find comfort and guidance in a supportive environment.
We are located at 1526 49th St., Norfolk, VA 23508.
At Canterbury, we believe that spiritual formation is a lifelong journey, and we’re here to walk that path with you. Whether you’re looking for a place to worship, someone to talk to, or simply a community to call home, we are here for you. Our center offers a variety of opportunities for spiritual growth, such as Liturgy and Lunch, Morning Prayer, Yoga and Compline, and more.
These gatherings are designed to provide spiritual nourishment, community connection, and a break from the busyness of campus life.

HOW TO FIND US
We are located at 1526 49th St., Norfolk, VA 23508.
Travel west on W 49th St and look for the Center on the right side. If you reach Powhatan Ave, you have gone too far.
A driveway on the left side leads to parking behind the building. You may park there while visiting the Center.
